As an American you need to be watching!

Protect the Constitution
Protect the Constitution

We do not live under the laws of a religion. Other countries may but not the United States. Here in the United States of America the laws are by man not GODS law. In most Islamic countries they follow the Quran and Sharia law. Religious leaders interpret it (and it varies by personal views) just as some of the religious people in the US do. Are the Buddhists or Hindu religions the correct ones? Maybe only the LDS (The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints) since it is an American religion. This is not a country ruled by religion but the people. If this was GODS law then people from anywhere in the world could come here and live as they please. Now where in GODS law does it say you live in your country and we live in ours and you can’t come to mine? If it was up to most religious leaders there would not be a second amendment.

Keep this on a simple ground. Your rights as an American come from the Constitution of the United States of America and the Constitution of the state you reside. Each state is like a separate county as in Europe. The US Constitution binds all states together into the nation. A state has the right to strengthen a law but not weaken it. As such each state issues a drivers License but only if you pass the required exam for the state. Each basically has similar driving laws but most states do have differences. In one state you can get a license at 16 and another it may be 17. The state decides not the federal Gov. Please show me you have the god given right to drive without a license from the state. Even in the Bible it does say “Give therefore to Caesar what is Caesar’s, and to God what is God’s.” Once we make laws based upon a religious doctrine we are no better than those forcing a religious belief upon others. This is what Sharia law does. “I never will, by any word or act, bow to the shrine of intolerance or admit a right of inquiry into the religious opinions of others.” Thomas Jefferson (1743-1826)

It is true the Constitution limits what the government can and cannot do. There are basic human rights that should be for every person. There are many governments of the countries tend to remove many of these rights to control the people. What we call human rights come from the society in which the people reside. At one time it was perfectly acceptable to own another person. What were their rights? The society of the populace decides what is right. To pose a question for thought; why is it considered wrong for a person to walk around naked in public? Is it what society decides as proper? It is not in the constitution. In some countries people can go naked on the beach areas and nothing is thought of it. It is legal in many state for women to go topless. Why is it ok for men to go topless but not women? Males have nipples and aureoles and some men do have larger breasts then some women. Just something to think about.

Mr. Thomas Jefferson had some thoughts that I would like to share and ask reader to think about their meanings:

“Of liberty I would say that, in the whole plenitude of its extent, it is unobstructed action according to our will. But rightful liberty is unobstructed action according to our will within limits drawn around us by the equal rights of others. I do not add “within the limits of the law,” because law is often but the tyrant’s will, and always so when it violates the right of an individual.”

“The two enemies of the people are criminals and government, so let us tie the second down with the chains of the Constitution so the second will not become the legalized version of the first. “

And my favorite:

“A wise and frugal government, which shall restrain men from injuring one another, which shall leave them otherwise free to regulate their own pursuits of industry and improvement, and shall not take from the mouth of labor and bread it has earned. This is the sum of good government.”

I am only one person and there is nothing one person can do?

This is a problem in our nation. If we sit by and allow our elected representatives, Federal, State and local, to think they do not have to listen to the people they represent they are sadly wrong. We the people need to stand up and make our voices heard. A simple FREE email can help. Keep aware of upcoming local, state and federal issues and decide for yourself if you approve or disapprove. Send an email to the Senators and Representatives both the federal and state. Keep aware of local County and city issues and see where your rights to Life, Liberty and Pursuit of Happiness are being taken away. Do you know the city, county state or federal government can take your property if they feel there is a need that suits the general good? Stand up and be heard. Keep abreast of current pending State and Federal legislation as well as city/county ordinances. Only you know what is important to you.

Do not go gentle into that good night,
Old age should burn and rage at close of day;
Rage, rage against the dying of the light.

Though wise men at their end know dark is right,
Because their words had forked no lightning they
Do not go gentle into that good night.

Good men, the last wave by, crying how bright
Their frail deeds might have danced in a green bay,
Rage, rage against the dying of the light.

Wild men who caught and sang the sun in flight,
And learn, too late, they grieved it on its way,
Do not go gentle into that good night.

Grave men, near death, who see with blinding sight
Blind eyes could blaze like meteors and be gay,
Rage, rage against the dying of the light.

And you, my father, there on the sad height,
Curse, bless me now with your fierce tears, I pray.
Do not go gentle into that good night.
Rage, rage against the dying of the light.

Keep struggling for survival, to never give up even against the dire most of circumstances.

Help me stand up and let those elected hear that the people do matter. The voice of each person count and those elected are to represent us with our words not their own. Help in your local communities. Join the Whig Party.
