Political Parties

Look at both party’s fighting and the mistrust most people have with the leadership of both parties. Do they support you or tell you how to think?

Whig Party of Georgia

It should not be about parties but honesty. It is without question any person wanting to register to vote should have to prove they are an American Citizen first and that they are eligible to vote. This is about ethical non-partisan politics. There should never any party registration but as an American each person votes for the person not the party.  It is truly not the party one should vote for the person we feel is the best person for the job. If a party wants to have a primary it should pay for it. Please show me where in the U.S. Constitution there is anything about political parties and primaries. There is not.  The Constitution says nothing about political parties. There is no mention of the two parties ( democrat and republican) system we all know or any requirement for any party affiliation.

Memorial Day is not a Holiday

Image

Memorial day is not a day for business to have Sales. It is a day to remember those that have given their lives for this nation. It is not a marketing tool.

I ask that for every email and mailing you receive you respond to the advertiser with the message above.

Memorial Day used to be a solemn day of mourning, a sacred day of remembrance to honor those who paid the ultimate price for our freedoms. Businesses closed for the day. Towns held parades honoring the fallen, the parade routes often times ending at a local cemetery, where Memorial Day speeches were given and prayers offered up. People took the time that day to clean and decorate with flowers and flags the graves of those the fell in service to their country. It is not a Holiday but a day for honoring and remember those that gave all for your freedoms. We need to remember with sincere respect those who paid the price for our freedoms; we need to keep in sacred remembrance those who died serving their country. We need to never let them be forgotten. However, over the years the original meaning and spirit of Memorial Day has faded from the public consciousness.

On Memorial Day, the flag of the United States is raised briskly to the top of the staff and then solemnly lowered to the half-staff position, where it remains only until noon.It is then raised to full-staff for the remainder of the day.

The half-staff position remembers the more than one million men and women who gave their lives in service of their country. At noon, their memory is raised by the living, who resolve not to let their sacrifice be in vain, but to rise up in their stead and continue the fight for liberty and justice for all.

Please write any business using this day for sales and dishonoring all the men and women that sacrificed for us. Show that American pride and respect is still alive.

ACA replacement proposal

In the 1930s, President Franklin Roosevelt began a campaign to construct and maintain U.S. Public Health Service (USPHS)Hospitals, to serve the Military, veterans, and the general public. Until 1981, the hospitals operated inpatient and outpatient services, emergency, surgery, and rehabilitation wards. In 1980, President Ronald Reagan announced plans to close or sell all such hospitals.

To replace the ACA, which is forcing people to purchase insurance and subsides with huge deductibles, I suggest that the United States Public Health Service reinstate the U.S Public Health Service Hospital system. The USPHS would obtain facilities or co-locate with community based health departments to serve the uninsured and Medicaid patients. The program can be staffed by USPHS and working with state medical schools to provide doctors, Physician Assistants(PA), Nurse Practitioners(NP) and Interns.  The State can mandate that all licensed physicians perform some Pro Bono services as a requirement to be licensed in the state. While performing in the USPHS they would be covered by Government service umbrella and no additional malpractice insurance. Local community based facilities, such as health departments, can provide basic health services and referrals to larger USPHS Hospitals for more advanced treatments and diagnostic procedures.

Any person requesting a federal student loan for medical, nursing or any medical technical specialty be required to perform with USPHS on a year for year basis. Service can be at the USPHS hospital or if needed at local Public Health Service facilities.

This would be creating local jobs for medical administration as well as practitioners in local communities. Many hospitals throughout the country have had to lay off workers and staff due to loss of revenue. This provides a skilled pool from which to draw from. It would also encourage people to enter the medical area for needed workers.  It would open the doors for PAs and NP as well as support staff. Creating jobs and providing the medical care desired.

The funding could come from the Medicaid as well as the funding from the ACA subsidies funding.  All persons already under Medicaid would be covered. Any person can apply based upon a needs base and sliding scale for co pays and service fees.

This service would provide for the underserved population providing health services without deductibles. The Veterans Health Administration provides a similar service for all Veterans. Costs are based upon a needs base and scale. The USPHS could be developed to provide the same services to the uninsured and low income.

Insurance companies would fight this tooth and nail because; it takes away the one trillion dollars from them and gives it to the people for medical treatment. People that are employed and have insurance will still have their insurance and their doctors. Most Doctors now are refusing Medicaid patients for all sorts of excuses but really because Medicaid does not pay but a fraction for the Doctors fees.

I know there would have to be a lot of work defining this program but, we start with a premise and develop the program.

Government of the People?

I just feel that the people just take a moment to re-read this and think about the information can consider the meanings within. Take a moment and read the Declaration of Independence and the first ten amendments of our Constitution and consider the meanings of each.

Government of the People?

I feel that it is the obligation that our government and the people we elect to represent us, We the People of the United States of America, deserve honesty, ethical behavior in words as well as actions and to keep their word they swore to upon taking the oath of their respective office.

I do solemnly swear (or affirm) that I will support and defend the Constitution of the United States against all enemies, foreign and domestic; that I will bear true faith and allegiance to the same; that I take this obligation freely, without any mental reservation or purpose of evasion; and that I will well and faithfully discharge the duties of the office on which I am about to enter: So help me God.”

I personally feel that many in office have forgotten their oath to the people of this great nation. This…
